Susan was born in Davao City and moved to Manila when she was 7 years old to live with one of her aunt and uncle. Susan’s aunt and uncle own a restaurant and she helped them with the business during her free time (when not in school) and this was the place where she met Ken.

Susan is married to Ken. They have been married for 34 years. They have two (2) children, Christopher and Michelle. Christopher graduated from Grand Valley State University as Information Technician. After graduation, he joined the US Air Force and stayed there for six (6) years. Michelle graduated from Grand Valley State University as a Speech Therapist.

Susan stated: “I joined WMFAA in 1994 when Cynthia Sasota was the President then, when she stepped down to care for her young children (when her 1st husband Joe passed away), I also quit going to WMFAA functions. Now that she (Cynthia) is back as the President, I came back and join the association.”
